YADA YDG-HSD-3 Hall Effect Current Sensor – 0-100A 0-5V Output – High Accuracy for UPS, Inverter, Data Center

Product Overview

The YADA YDG-HSD-3 Hall Effect Current Sensor is a high-precision, isolated current transducer engineered for industrial applications such as UPS systems, inverters, data centers, and power monitoring equipment. It delivers a proportional analog output (e.g. 0-5 V) for input currents up to 100 A (or your specified max). With excellent linearity, fast response, and stable performance in harsh electrical environments, it’s an ideal choice for system integrators and OEMs needing reliable current sensing.

Key Features & Benefits

  • High Accuracy & Linearity — Low non-linearity error ensures precise current measurement.

  • Electrical Isolation — Uses Hall effect principle to isolate the primary current path from the output circuitry, improving safety in high-voltage systems.

  • Wide Measurement Range — Supports 0–100 A AC or DC (or as per your specification).

  • Standard Analog Output — Outputs 0–5 V (or configurable), easy for direct interfacing with ADC, controllers, or monitoring systems.

  • Fast Response Time — Enables real-time detection of current fluctuations in dynamic loads.

  • Low Insertion Loss & Low Offset — Minimal disturbance to main circuit; stable offset ensures accurate zero-current reading.

  • Compact, Rugged Design — Suitable for industrial installations; robust against electromagnetic interference (EMI).

  • Operating Temperature & Stability — Designed for extended ambient ranges and thermal stability over long operation.

Applications & Use Cases

  • UPS and Backup Power Systems — Monitor load current and support overcurrent protection.

  • Solar / Hybrid Inverter Systems — Track DC or AC current for optimization and safety.

  • Data Centers & Server Enclosures — Real-time current feedback for power management and energy efficiency.

  • Battery Management Systems (BMS) — Measure charge/discharge currents in energy storage systems.

  • Industrial Automation & Motor Control — Current sensing for motor drives, protection, and fault detection.

  • Switchgear Panels & Energy Monitoring — Integrate into energy management systems for audit and control.

Why Choose YDG-HSD-3 over Traditional Methods

Hall effect current sensing offers several advantages over resistive shunts or current transformers:

  • Non-intrusive & isolated measurement — No physical insertion loss or heat in the main path.

  • Works with both AC and DC — Unlike many traditional current transformers which only support AC.

  • Better temperature stability and lower parasitic effects — In high-speed or high-frequency systems.

  • Compact and easier integration — More flexible in design and layout.

Installation & Wiring Guidelines

  1. Fix the sensor securely via mounting holes or panel bracket.

  2. Route the conductor whose current you want to measure through the sensor or connect per the input terminal.

  3. Ensure correct polarity of power supply to the sensor and orientation of the conductor.

  4. Connect the analog output (0–5V) to your monitoring or control system (e.g. ADC input).

  5. Add filtering or shielding for EMI suppression if the environment has high interference.
